Internationally renowned as the tallest building in Western Europe, The Shard is synonymous with London’s skyline. Working with architects Archer Humphryes, we created a warm interior to contrast with the glass and steel of the skyscraper. Dark woods, soft lighting and tactile materials give a textured, comfortable aesthetic, while floor-to-ceiling windows offer incredible views. 

Achieving an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM certification, The Shard features an on-site energy plant, a triple-skin energy efficient facade, solar blinds that minimise glare, conversion of waste into energy through incineration and low volume high pressure water taps.

Benefitting from a variety of architectural experts, The Shard itself was designed by Renzo Piano, a globally renowned Starchitect, who has created landmark buildings from Paris to New York. TOG partnered with Archer Humphreys to design the interiors of 24/25 The Shard, a studio of expert architects who specialise in luxury hotels, restaurants, residences and resorts.

Inspired by and resembling a crystalline sliver of glass jutting into the skyline, The Shard is characterised by a glass exterior that means floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural light.
